Throughout the fall and spring semester, we will have locally-based, weekend service trips focused on a variety of topics. Although they will be shorter, they will offer participants a chance to learn about social justice and service in Athens and how they can build on that throughout their lives. Check out the trips page to learn about our different trip foci!
Fall, Winter, and Spring Break Trips
We will have trips that take place only during these breaks. These trips will take place outside of Athens. Check out the trips page to lean about our different trip foci for these trips!
What is IMPACT?
The mission of the IMPACT program is to engage University of Georgia students in an affordable, substance-free, service-learning experience that facilitates the understanding of pressing social issues in an effort to develop active citizens. It is the goal of the organization to address community needs through direct and indirect service as well as provide students the knowledge of social issues in our own country. By providing new perspectives and hearing the stories of others, participants gain invaluable experiences that bring us together.
