A little history...
IMPACT Service Breaks started in 1994 as Alternative Spring Break (ASB) with a group of University of Georgia students who wanted to show that service is truly "love made visible." From there, we have continued to grow, now hosting 25 trips across the Eastern coast of the United States for about 500 students during winter and spring breaks.
A Break Down of Our Mission Statement
We aim to create an affordable experience for all students through targeted budgeting, the availability of trip fee waivers, and with the support of our community partners.
Our students perform 40 hours of service and a reflection each night with the goal of garnering a better understanding of a pressing social issue.
We aim to create active citizens that not only understand pressing social issues, but also are acting on influencing the communities affected by these issues.
